Château Calon Ségur
Château Calon-Ségur is an emblematic wine estate located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the left bank of the Bordeaux region in France. Classified as the Third Grand Cru Classé in the official classification of Bordeaux wines, Calon-Ségur is renowned for its long history and the quality of its red wines.
The vines of Château Calon-Ségur flourish on Garonne gravel soils, ideal for growing the main grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. The blending of these grape varieties produces powerful, complex wines.
Château Calon-Ségur wines are characterized by their robust structure, firm tannins and exceptional ageing capacity. They reveal aromas of black fruit, blackcurrant, spices and tobacco. The imprint of the Saint-Estèphe terroir is evident in the wines' distinctive minerality and depth.
